Given the stakes, our quality control protocol for the motorcycle helmet line is the most stringent in our entire facility. It is a zero-compromise system that I personally oversee. It begins with the raw materials; every roll of carbon fiber and every drum of resin is cataloged and tested before use. During the shell layup, each layer is inspected. After curing, every single shell is weighed and tap-tested for structural integrity. But the most critical phase is our batch testing. From every production run of 500 helmets, we pull several units at random and take them to our in-house lab. There, we destroy them. We run them through the full DOT and ECE impact and penetration tests. If we find even a single, minuscule deviation from our performance benchmark, the entire batch is quarantined and rejected. There are no second chances. This extreme level of quality control is our promise to our OEM partners and the riders they serve. It is our guarantee that a motorcycle helmet built by SPIRIT is built right, every single time.
